i have seen and read a little about a book floating around called robot love. the topic it addresses is robot/cyborg/human relations. could you love a robot? at what point could you fall in love with a robot? would it have to look identical to a human?
i am already border line in love with the internet, and this article only serves to solidify my taboo relationship: So, are you and the Internet a thing?
i once told my friend ginny that if they made a robot that looked like jim sturgess, wore decent shoes, and could rub my back, i would be down for a little mixed marriage. if the programming is elegant enough, i don't think i would care if someone was a robot. if they could be programmed to put up with my humanity, then i really wouldn't see a problem with it.
movies like ai and lars and the real girl have already touched on these emerging issues but much is still unknown on how society will adapt to walking hand and in hand with our mechanical friends. we can be sure of one thing though - right wing Republicans will support a constitutional amendment banning robosexual marriage.

He is your first step to a robot lover. AI takes one creepy step closer and your dream robo-man is being assembled sooner than you think.
